Yesterday saw the launch of the very first Fishtank Festival at the Rag Factory off Brick Lane. The Fishtank Festival is a one-day arts festival, bringing together a wide range of artists and musicians. Expect 7 bands, 4 acoustic musicians, DJs, no less than 15 artists (photographers, painters and installation artists), an 8-man breakdance competition, an 8-woman burlesque show, a fashion show by ethical designers, talks by 6 acclaimed entrepreneurs, short films, one master magician and plenty of other other amazing goings-on, all packed into four rooms for nine hours.
The day started off as very manic backstage trying to get all the models ready for the mini catwalk show organized by Nu Magazine. Round London was there to help dress the models and to find out the reaction to its brand new collection. Luckily the show went smoothly, with the except of one of the model’s shoes heel falling off, oops! The preview on the catwalk of Round London’s new collection went down well and our very supportive friend Suki for snapping up pre-order voucher from the new collection as a gift to a friend. The evening ended with one to many champagnes and not enough food…it was straight home to bed for the crew!
